At
Language Study Abroad are often asked why we only represent
one Spanish Language School in Mexico (Cuernavaca) when there are many
located in popular tourist cities all over the country.
Our
objective is for the student to be immersed in Spanish language and
culture both while in school, staying with a Mexican family or discovering
the social life. Unlike most popular tourist destinations in Mexico
you will rarely hear English spoken anywhere in Cuernavaca. Regardless
of their proficiency the student is “forced” to use their
Spanish at all times. The result is a rapid learning curve.
Cuernavaca
is a midsized city located about 50 miles south of Mexico City at an
elevation of 4,626 feet. It is known internationally as the “City
of Eternal Spring” boasting a year round temperature of 75-80
degrees. The city offers many interesting museums, colonial and archaeological
sites, a cathedral dating back to the sixteenth century, the Palace
of Cortes with breathtaking descriptions of Mexican history by world
renowned muralist Diego Rivera. The Zocolo or town center, is a hub
of activity each evening and is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars,
shops, discos etc.
