All our teachers have university degrees and are specialists in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. We have a Spanish teacher training department whose mission is to homogenize our methods and educational principles in order to meet the demands and needs of our students. These are some of our main aims:
|
THE METHODOLOGY | |||||||||||||||
Thus the integration of skills is fundamental in the design of activities and we move from listening comprehension to oral skills and from reading comprehension to writing skills, just as students originally learnt their native languages. The integration of skills presupposes the use of authentic and motivating materials. Videos, radio programs, the press and internet offer a wide variety of topics as well as up to date information that helps to bring the real world into the classroom.
Completing a task in the language is the ultimate objective of language learning.
For example, students complete questionnaires, pass them on to their colleagues, analyze the results and take a decision (e.g. letter to the director asking for longer opening hours in the multimedia room), they have a meeting with the person in charge and often achieve a favorable result, in other words just like in real life.
All of this in line with the latest investigations by the European Council and the European Framework for language learning, teaching and evaluation.

Recommended for those students who wish to combine language learning with a study of the culture in a real life situation at a steady pace. Designed for students from varied backgrounds and a range of ages. There are 20 +4 classes a week either in the morning or the afternoon with students completing a level every 4 weeks. This course is ideal for learning Spanish and meeting new people. Courses are from 2 weeks to an academic year.
| |||||||||||||||
| |||||||||||||||
| |||||||||||||||
For those students who need to learn Spanish for their work or studies. The average age is higher than that of the general course and the initial motivation of the students is very strong. The reduced number of students means they have more direct contact with the teacher as well as receiving more personalized attention. These courses of 20 +4 classes a week allow students to improve their oral skills and reach a higher level of linguistic competence in a shorter time. Minimum course duration is 1 week.
| |||||||||||||||
Especially designed for those students who wish to learn the maximum amount of Spanish in a reduced period of time. The profile of students attending this course is the same as that of the intensive C course. In the morning students study linguistic and communicative techniques which they put into practice in the last class. This is ideal for people whose stay in Spain is mainly work or study based. With a total of 30 +4 classes a week these courses are recognized as official training courses in Germany. Minimum course duration is 1 week.
| |||||||||||||||
Perfect for combining the experience of learning Spanish in a mini group while at the same time receiving private classes. The group classes in the morning help with student interaction and aid students to improve their speaking skills. The private classes allow students to cover areas that need extra practice with their teacher or study topics that interest them especially. The students who normally study in this type of course are generally highly motivated to learn as much Spanish as possible in the shortest time possible.
| |||||||||||||||
This is additional course generally aimed at two types of students. Firstly, those who have certain difficulties in assimilating the contents of the morning classes but who wish to continue in the same group by studying more and revising what they have covered in class and, secondly, those who wish to speed up the learning process in order to move up to a higher level. In both cases the students are highly motivated and concerned about their learning process. It is possible to enroll in this course after trying the first course that you have chosen.
| |||||||||||||||
In addition to the chosen course, there are 10 classes a week in small groups. Ideal for those that need to supplement their studies in Spanish with basic knowledge about the business environment. Although the content of the course is adapted to the specific needs of the students, topics will include negotiation, the telephone, business correspondence, as well as a general overview of the company structure and the socio-economic situation in Spain. The majority of students who choose this course are already working or are looking for a job where Spanish is likely to be the second language of doing business.
| |||||||||||||||
Specially designed for those who wish to study everything related to the history of the language and literature. Students who opt for this course can negotiate the specific course contents with their teachers (specialists in Hispanic Philology): dialects, history of the language, contemporary literature and so on. This course can be combined with a general or intensive Spanish course. The level of Spanish of students who choose to study this course is generally very high.
| |||||||||||||||
A course designed to adapt to the specific needs of the students. It is geared entirely to the student who can determine the duration of the course beforehand (20, 25 or 30 classes), the content (general Spanish or Spanish for specific purposes) and even the way of working (amount of teacher correction, more emphasis in written or spoken Spanish etc). In addition, these courses allow students with special needs (hearing or sight difficulties, lack of experience of second language learning, very young or more mature students etc) to study Spanish with the direct and continuous help of their teacher.
| |||||||||||||||
This combines all the advantages of the F1 course with the possibility of living in a family environment orientated towards the actual learning process. In other words the teacher's home becomes the classroom and the student is in the ideal environment to put into practice everything that they have learnt. As the teacher lives with the student they discover the skills and needs of the student that would take longer to identify in just a classroom setting. In addition, the teacher can help the student in their choice of cultural visits as well as accompany them to the school so that they can take part in the cultural activities along with the rest of the students.
